Hi guys,
I just bought a 2010 Cobalt w/ Pioneer sound system. I had noticed it didn't have the sub when I was looking at the car, but I assumed that it was an option that hadn't been ticked, I knew it had the Pioneer system otherwise. But I only see evidence that it was a 7 speaker unit available in 2010 and thus the previous owner must have removed the sub. My question: My understanding is that the channel on the amplifier covers the sub and both the rear drivers. Would having the sub disconnected mess up the current going to the rear drivers and thus negatively affect the sound? They sound pathetic to me right now and I was looking at upgrading them to some 'Kicker' 6 x 9s. Would appreciate your expertise... Thanks!
