Default why to cut bump stop?

The tittle says it all, got my sportlines and cant wait to install them on, Why would you cut the bump stop? what does it do? Can I left them uncut?

dont cut them, will prevent you from blowing your struts/shocks as soon

It will make the car ride harder because you only went with stiffer springs, so the car is going to bounce off the bumpstops more often as a result. The only real way to fix that is to change shocks to something stiffer like the Koni Yellows
