car alarm/keyless entry ???

thinking of picking up a keyless entry and car alarm kit...

read a few good reviews on it, someone actually tested the range of, fell short of its advertised 9000ft though...so my main question is, does anyone have a pic of how those things go on the door for the power locks? i know i saw them once when we took interviewatruins doors off, and i never saw it again just trying to get a general idea of how ima go about installing it...probably wont order the thing until this friday...

also another Q, i am planning on getting some hella supertone horns, i should be able to wire the alarm to the supertones right? i dont see why not as horns just need a power and a ground wire....i maybe over thinking this...but i want to use the same set(2) of horns for both my car horn, and the alarm horn

Hey I picked up a Viper remote start and alarm from best buy and did all the install work myself...I had to buy door lock actuators for like 30 a piece... All you need is the wiring diagram of the BCM... I hid the brain behind the center console... Btw I have an 06 LS all manual just ordered kit for power windows that ima do...

I wasn't to interested in the remote start part of the kit, just the power locks and alam, I'm a 5spd so I leave my car in gear everytime it's off

Its possible to just get the keyless entry... You'll just have to get the actuators and wire them into the keyless entry of the aftermarket kit... Keyless entry and alarm is what ur lookin for?!

im gettin mine off sonicelectronix.com. they seem to have the best prices for everything and u can get really good alarm kits..

im kinda leaning towards one of the ones thats also a turbo timer tho..
