install help??

bought that deck.
its bigger than a single din.
obviously not a double din.
the only install kit for the ions is a single din or you cut it out for a double din.
not sure what i need to do to make this work

anyone have experience with this?

is it for a cobalt ? if so i believe its the metra 99-3302

The install kit is for an ion.
I have it, it is the 99-3106

but faceplate is too big and doesn't fit through.
Ive never had to use an install kit like this before lol.

yeah i know.
it has an oversized face tho so i was confused at first. so it doesn't fit correct with the single din kit.

oooooh.. Spectral are you talking about the faceplate supplied with the HU?? If so, I couldn't get it to fit either....

I actually cut the sides off and then used some clear silicone to hold them in place... Let me go take pics...
