when bore polish!!

i was stuck in traffic today and noticed the paint was wore off my cheap shifter and thought why not polish it.
here it is before

and after i sanded with gray schoch-brite/wd40,400,1500 grit and then used some mothers aluminum polish by hand and wrapped the center part with black vinyl



i still have to give it a final polish tomorrow and coat it with some stuff called protectaclear. supposedly it is self leveling,barley viable, adheres very well to polished surfaces and very durable. will see if it is as good as they say.

after final polish

after coating with protectaclear coating.not a good pic it was reflecting too much light to the camera. it actually looks no different after coating it
