yes you can chip a 2.2, quite easy to do aswell....drain your oil, start the engine, let it run for a bit, you'll eventually start to hear clicking noises...than your engine will idle funny, but you can bet your ass you chipped something
remove the head and hope you dropped a valve and chipped the piston
and yes, this will cause some extensive damage when you chip your l61...depending on what you chip
a chip in the head...may just throw a rod thru the block...that'll really do some damage.
but in all seriousness...no, the ECM cannot be "chipped"...it can be tuned, but not chipped, and depending on the year cobalt you drive, you have 1-2 options
