Default Vvt

It was just brought to my attention that my 09 motor has vvt. Is it going to be an issue? my car is an 05 so it does not have the variable vavle timing.

VVT stands for variable valve timing...

is yours a 2.4 or a 2.2...if its 2.4 has variable valve timing, a 2.2 doesnt. You shouldnt have trouble so long as you take care of it.

you shouldnt have a problem.

Is your cobalt a 2.2L or a 2.4L? the way you phrased the original post is kinda confusing... do you have 2 cobalts? one 05 one 09?

Wrongzors the 09 motor is the LAP which DOES have VVT.the head will not work in your 2005 now you can swap your 2005 head to the 2009 bottom end and you have yourself gen2 block

This.

LAP has a gen 2 bottom end? I was under the impression that only LE5 and LNF had them.
