You don't need to take the wheel off. We did mine last week by just turning the wheels and loseing the wheel liner.
Then unbolted the Resonator and pulled it up through the headlight opening.
With the GMPP intake on and the resonator out you really notice the increase in the trottle Responce.
Also more power in the higher rpms and a deeper sound.

When I did this to my LT I pulled it out the headlight hole. Had to chop it in half though.

We got it out in one peice.
Just took the clips out for the grill so that we were able pull the bumper away a little.
