Default Best way to get to the alternator power wire?

Well im wanting to do the big 3 wire upgrade in my 09 Cobalt. It is a LT. I looked at it a bit and I am clueless when it comes the simplest way to get to it. I cant even see the power from from the alternator...also where would be the best place to run it through the fire wall? Last car I did it to was a 02 grand am and I simply stuffed wires through the grommet for the steering wheel shaft. I will be using true 0 gauge wire for the big 3 upgrade.

I am installing a audio system in my car in the coming week and I want to do the power upgrade. Will be doing a single 15 off of about 1000-1200 watts. The amp is a old school Rockford Fosgate 1000bd...its under rated.

But yea...what will I need to do? Have read around and no one explains it. Only thing I have found is that it takes a good bit of effort and time to do it. Hoping to get it done tomorrow while its nice and warm out. 85 degrees and Sunny Skys ...will have to do it shirtless to get rid of the whiteness of my skin buaha.
