Default Got a question for you guys, this is important.

(I'm just copying and pasting this since I've posted it a couple of other places, with no real results.)

My car is an '07 Chevy Cobalt LT. Ever since this morning, when I was driving to work, it has been spastically unlocking by itself. It also has been doing it while the car is off (and I was at work, so I was lucky no one stole anything in it). I go back to lock it, and then it unlocks itself again. I manually lock my doors since I can't afford a new key fob. It has done this before; I think it was cold weather then, too. Any ideas for what this could be/could be causing it?

Bad ground, corroded wires probably. I would take out the fuse for automatic locks if I were you

remove your door lock switch panels(its just two screws) and then disconnect the door lock switches. See if problem continues. If problem goes away then you need new switches, if it doesnt go away the most likely cause is a bad bcm/fuseblock

The thing is though, it's been over a year since this happened last. The last time it happened, I took off the key fob from my key chain, thinking it had something to do with it, but since this is happening again it's apparently not the case. It has been pretty cold though lately, and we just got a bunch of snow.
