2.5 or 2.25 are your options.

if you are just buying the muffler from like autozone or an auto parts store then dont do it..i bought a dc sports muffler and yeah it sounds good n loud but you'll want to save up for a good catback exhaust like borla or zzp or something along those lines..im just guessing that thats where youre buying it from.

Save up for a header, then run 3" staight pipe back to a cat delete, and resonator delete to an ebay muffler, cheap, and exactly the same or better than anything aftermarket

header, not headers. I have a pacesetter, but any brand will be an improvement. I did the straight pipe setup, sounds pretty good, a little loud

is a header or straight pipe better for performance wise or does it not make a difference. how much did u buy ur straight pipe for>?.......and for the dc sports turns out my brother doesnt need hi off his 2007 honda civis si and i might be able to make that one fit on mine.

You need the header. What comes after the header is up to you. Straight pipe, or any of the Down Pipes from vendors, ebay, etc. I did my exhuast myself, little less than 100 bucks for the header back part of the system, ebay muffler was 19 bucks, pacesetter header was 250 including shipping. Don't put honda shit on your cobalt
