New Here, HID issues?

hey guys,
first post. lol exciting.

i bought a 07 cobalt LS coupe 3 weeks ago. the guy that had it before me installed HID lights on it and unfortunately one of them went out last night and came back on, then today its completely fried. i dont know if its the bassel (or however thats spelt) or the actual bulb. i dont know how to replace the light either not really that car savvy.

any input would be greatly appreciated.

i like them over the factory lights. brighter and gives it a more.... ruggid look.

Buyhids.com sells individual parts or you can try ebay or even just buy all new hid kit from Ebay which is around $40.

if hid's werent wired properly that'll happen. if you just order the new bulbs they'll snap right back in and have 2 wires that just snap back in to the harness.

i dunno if u fixed your problem yet but if u want to determine whether its your ballads or lights , swap the bulbs from side to side if the good bulb works on that side it may be a bulb issue, if the known good bulb still does not work you may have a ballad issue, then swap your ballads side to side if the light that was out works then it a ballad issue

Why is everybody saying "ballads"? Am I the only one that doesn't know what that means? Or are you all talking about the HID Ballasts? lol

yes Ballasts , thanks perhaps you should sign up to be an english teacher because when it comes to the world of "Automotives" spelling and grammer take a back seat buddy thats what they hire service advisors for lol
