Default Night Shade problems

So got this stuff from Advance auto and thought I would try it out. Took the two outside lights off, cleaned them up, sprayed two coats on them and they look PERFECT! Did the same thing to the 3rd brake light and it turned out perfect. I then took the two off the trunk, again did the same thing as I did with the other ones, and they turned out like pure ASS! It was glossy but there was foggy patchs all over it, so I took the paint off and noticed that some of the plastic was jacked. Got some 800 grit, sanded it down, then finished with some 1000 grit, sprayed it again and now all of it looks like ass! SOO I thought I messed them up so drove down to the local junk yard, got two more, sprayed one of them, and it is doing the same thing! Im getting ready to take it all off!

Go buy soem 1500 wet sand paper and sand them down under cold water. After that dry them off with a microfiber towel and get some Meguiers ultimite polishing compound(or any brand) and get a microfiber applicator pad and cover the light with that stuff..then go to town on it. RUB IT UNTIL YOU CANT SEE ANY MORE COMPOUND ON THE LIGHT! That's the most important part. It gets rid of all the scratches and makes it look all glossy and shiny in light.

What are new and better lights first.... As for night shade check the forum it's like a all day process. You have to wet sand then coat then wet sand again.

this. also use something to remove and oils left from your fingers. when you paint everything is in the prep. also make sure you shake the heck out of the can EVERY time you spray it. that stuff separates quickly. prob the reason for your cloudiness.

to me it sounds like your maybe putting on too much.
myself if sprayed about 10 lets of lights with no issues.
light .. very light coats. sprayed from 2 feet away or atleast do my coat then stand back and just let a bit of over spray land on the part im painting to give it a light even dust of the spray.

but i also agree with the above comments.
regardless of what stage your at now follow the same steps

No that's the very last thing you do. At least its what I did and mine are like perfect. After you put on 2-3 LIGHT coats of NightShade then 3-4 LIGHT coats of clear coat then do the steps I said. Will turn out perfect when you're done. At least you hope so.

well the first three I did turned out perfect! Didn't have to put a clear coat on them. I didn't change anything on these last two? It's like that paint don't like the plastic. When I get home Ill take a pic of the ones that turned out good I did plus the ones that suck.
