Odd nosie coming from my stock muffler

I have an 07 LS MT cobalt. I got it 8 months ago,and last month it started to make a noise,it sounds like its coming from the muffler sounds like a very slow dial up connection hasn't hurt performance what could this be????

It may be a leak. Check the muffler for holes.

Sounds like a shot muffler. Could have a hole in it. I say just replace it with an aftermarket or if there is still a warranty take it up with the dealership.
