Default Question about clutch

Hi guys, figured I'd come on and see if you could answer a couple questions for me.

I have a '10 LT XFE Team Canada Edition, 2 door, 5 speed manual Cobalt. It currently has 22,000 km's on it or 13,670 miles for all those south of the border! The car has been fairly decent. I didn't drive it last winter because the all-season tires they shipped the car with are junk. Bought winter tires for it this year as I got rid of my 4x4.

Anywho I seem to be having a weird feeling with my clutch. I do about 50/50 highway/city driving and it feels like I need to release the clutch pedal a bit more than I used to. I don't ride the clutch nor do I keep it depressed while at a light. I have also had an '03 & '05 Cavalier which were manual as well and a '94 Explorer manual. In wither of the Cavalier's I never missed a shift or had problems, but with this Cobalt I sometimes seem to miss 3rd or sometimes 4th, which is really annoying. It is only when I am in a hurry though.

So could I possibly need a new clutch? Do you think warranty would cover this or should I just put in an aftermarket one? It would be nice to find a clutch that has about 1/2 the travel of the stock one. Is there anyway to check the clutch material left without removing the transmission?

Thanks in advance for your help/advice.

It shouldn't be low on clutch at 13k mi, my 2.2 was at 90k before I sold it and a few of those were drag racing/ hard driving miles.

You just have to get a feel for the release point. Every clutch is different.

Is there any way to adjust the release point or would I have to get a new clutch?

If I were to get a new clutch, what is one that everyone would recommend. I would like one that has about half the travel for the release point as the stock clutch.

Its kinda weird but with clutches check your dot 3 brake fluid because if it is low your clutch will slip
