Default stock cobalt, gotta need for speed

im not on here alot. i have been wantin a truck for utilities but the way gas prices are i dont think that is gonna happen. i want to make my car look good but just like everyother college kid, i am poor. my car came with some aftermarket 15inch rims and i really dont know if they would look good with lowering springs. any suggestins? but more importantly, i am tired of my sluggish slowbalt. i have a 5sp and i just want some more get up and go but don't really know where to start. i have been reading alot but most mods are pricey. my main question is, what can i do for looks and performance for relatively cheap? like i said i just want some acceleration

intake and exhaust would get you a tid bit more. the lowering springs would make the tires sit better in the wheel well, may look funky with the 15's though i'm not sure.

Have never bottomed out, hit the biggest pothole in the world last friday and still did'nt bottom out, but it did explode my rim. Its a little bouncier ride though, but well worth it for the cool factor
