My Oil Guage Is Broken?

So about a month ago I took my car to the dealership because my e brake went out and I also needed new tires. So while they were at it, I said for them to just change the oil. Sure why not, right?

Well now, my gauge is on telling me: "Oil Needs To Be Changed".

I checked the Oil and it is filled up and not low. But my gauge say's it's at 4%.

Is this something I need to be worried about? Also, how do I fix it?

reset your oil life monitor. the tech forgot to reset it.

Really? So if I reset it, I'm not going to be accurate at all am I?

Come to think of it, I did that last time I changed my oil. Dang, I forgot. Ima noob.

its not accurate anyway. it goes off camshaft turns. always go by the mileage. now to re-set it. turn key to acc. press gas to floor 5 times within 5 seconds. turn key off wait 5 seconds crank. should be 100%. now other way. go to the % hold down the arrow key it should re-set it that way. and rember alway go by the mileage never the oil life indicator. mine i wouldnt re-set for 2 oilchanges at a time. so 10,000 miles i would do 2 oilchanges in there and still not be at 0% also im a tech

turn your ignition to the run position or the acc possition( i forgot which one) and push the gas 3 times

my oil life gauge is always wayyyyy off. when i change my oil it says i have about 65% left.

hell just push it gas as many times as you can in 5 seconds

yah same here, im guessing you change yours every 3k miles?
