Default What Level Octane to Use on SS

Hello!

This answer is probably already on here somewhere, but I have heard so many different things I just wanted to hear your opinion!

I recently bought a Cobalt SS (2007) Supercharged, and the man at the dealership said I only needed to use regular gasoline, but a lot of people have been telling me that I should be using a higher level.

What do you think? I really love my car and I want only the best for it.

Default What level Octane to use?

Hello!

I just recently bought a Cobalt SS Supercharged (2007) and the man at the dealership told me I only needed to use regular octane gasoline, but someone told me today that I should be using a higher grade.

I did some research online but I have heard different things.

What do you guys recommend?

-Ashley

U want High grade prem 93 min. Read the owners manual or gas door. If u run low grade Aka 87 u will put blk and burn a ring out quick. also post pics of car yourself and welcome

I have only had it for less than a month, using regular, so I will change to 93 right away!

And thanks for the warm welcome, I am posting some photos now :-)

Go by what your car manual says. Regular won't hurt but SS needs more kick lol

Yeah I JUST checked the manual and it says 91. I wonder why the car dealer said regular was fine? Maybe he really didn't know much about that car or supercharges.

Well you can run 87 in the car. They just recomend 91 or in my case 93.
