Steering Whining

Im getting an intermittent whining when turning the wheel. Really annoying. Dealer said they lubed some housing but it came back.. Anyone else got this issue. Mine is a 2010 SS.

No whine.
But I do have a rattle in the column over small bumps on my 2010.
Had the dealer check it out yesterday.
They had to order a new steering column. I have 15000 miles on mine.
A buddy just had his changed on his 2010 last week for the same noise at 12,000.

Nebody have any steering whines on an 09 ss yet? I haven't had any whines on mine yet. I hope it stays that way.

Wtf I got bumped?

I have no clue, where is the whine coming from? Under hood? Inside of cab?
Have somebody mess with the wheel while you're under the car to locate the sound.

i dont see how an electic steering car can whine. only things i know that run off the belt are A/C and alt. can it be heard out side of the car? might be the motor to the steering is dieing.

Haven't had a prob with my steering, had the recall done on it within a few months of buying it.
