what exactly are the symptoms of sway bar endlinks starting to go? and what are the benefits of upgrading the endlinks

you will get a clunk in your front end. Upgrading them eliminates the stock endlinks which have a tendency to fail. Also, these are adjustable, and that's better for obvious reasons.

nvm googled it. turns out worn endlinks and sway bar bushings can cause your suspension to become somewhat loose and cause a drifting movement.

Stock links are also flexy. Hence the shorter SS ones.
