Default how to cover trunk key hole

so my friend had some scrap vinyl laying around from doing some stuff on his car and its a pritty close color match to my car so i thought i would cover up the keyhole in the trunk for now till i can get it filled. this took all of 7 minutes
Matterials needed:
Glass cleaner
Scissors
Sharp razor blade
vinyl
head gun/hair dryer
tinting squeegee or credit card

Clean your area you will be working on

Once it is clean spray some glass cleaner on it so its a little wet and apply the vinyl over it and remove air bubbles with your tinting squeegee or credit card

now start to push the vinyl into the cracks and wrap your lock (i did min on the inside of the piece of rubber because my cars black but for you guys with other color cars i would recomend on going over that black rubber ring)
and once its in place heat it up and push it in better

now its time to start cutting make sure your razor is very sharp and your vinyl has had a few minutes to settle... take your time this is the make it or break it part of the project

once you are done cutting heat it up again and push the vinyl into the edges some more and then let it bake in the sun for a while.... after it bakes just run over the top and the edges again to make sure its stuck on good and your done

just take your time with it... its a fast project but be carefull not to scratch anythign or rip anything

I did something like this on my car too...

it's not all the way blacked cuz I still use it, but hopefully before long I'll end up with a G5 trunk and I'm shaving the keyhole and spoiler

good work, its a nice alternative to painting, since its easier to reverse.
