Default Smart cars, good? bad?

Guys my parents are thinking about picking up 2 smart cars tomorrow, dealership is giving them a 2for1 deal if they turn in the leased PT Cruiser GT they have. One smartcar is gas the other is a diesel, i know what i want to say, if my dad is on the highway and gets hit he's toast, and my dad is on the highway ALOT. As for my mom, there is tons of big trucks in the city being retarded trying to talk on cell phones driving big rigs, running red lights running yield signs, ect ect, not highway speeds but if she got hit I would expect lots of injuries that she doesn't need. Find me a reason to red flag the smart cars so i can tell my dad NOT to buy them.

They look like an oversized, overpriced golfcart.

Don't buy it if you don't use it for what's actually for.
