On a ss/tc there is more then enough suction to suck up water. Hence why, while driving on the highway my buddy collected about a gallon that he had to empty from his intercooler.

I'm thinking that the factory intake would have more vacuum to suck in water than the cai, it has smaller tubbing. So unless I'm trying to drive through a like I really am not concerned.

This Injen intake says it can be either a CAI or SRI. Might be worth a look: Injen Air Intake 05+ Cobalt - 05-09 Cobalt Air Intake Systems, Cold Air intake, Short Ram intake, Air Filters
