Default Need Help Impressing Girl, Her cobalt was in a accident

Hey what’s up guys. So i need a little help and was wondering if you guys could help me out. This girl I’m trying to get with has a 2008 Chevy Cobalt. She ended up re ending someone and the front is pretty jacked up. Now the airbags never went off. But her airbag light is on. I’m going with the front crash sensor got messed up in the accident but that’s not my major problem. The seat belts don’t work anymore. One is basically locked and wont move and the other is super loose and doesn’t retract at all. Now is there a inertia switch to the seat belts or something. Has anyone had this problem and if so what do I need to do to get her seat belts working again. Right now she’s driving around with no seat belts and i told her I would do my best to fix her car. Also I was a vehicle mechanic for the military for 6 years before I switched my AFSC. So you don’t have to dum anything down. Hopefully one of you guys can help a fellow Chevy owner out.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Ok ssg. I'm a spc also a 91 series(new code I know gay) simple fix replace them. There is a thing in the seatbelts designed to tighten with the airbags go off and only fix is to replace that I know of.

She needs to consult a dealer or factory certified body shop. Help her by suggesting that and taking her there. Impress her that way! Her vehicle issues need to be addressed officially by responsible, trained service techs. "Forum guessing" may very well cost her later on down the road, both financially and healthwise if even a small crash occurs.

seatbelts need replacement...thats the only fix for them...for the sensors...if airbags did not go off...there must be an issue with the airbag system and it needs to get serviced....you will need a tech 2 and CANdi module to retrieve the codes from the airbag module and figuere out wat the issue is....so the dealer is your best choice
