new motor no start

have 06 2.4 ss cobalt put new motor in now wont start basically ive checked the coils no power at the coil packs at all disconnected engine harness from motor and the ecu put motor in connected harness back on the motor now now start motor turns over but not starting. Thanks.

Is the security light flashing? I recall something about needing to do a case relearn or something to that effect when switching motors. Believe it had to do with the ECU not being linked to the new motor or something to that effect.

the only thing i see is the check engine light on at all times?

Do you have the ECU that goes with the new motor on hand? If you do try that, if not you gotta do a case relearn or something like that. I have no idea how to do that one.
