Default Paint trunk lock

Ok I saw a how to in the exterior about how to wrap your trunk lock. I was wondering what the steps would be to paint it to match rest of car?

Pretty much what he said, prep work is key in painting. Seen a couple guys spraypaint their locks but neither did prep and it slowly chipped off.

Colormatch or go home lol black would be just as much of an eyesore as the trunk lock unpainted.

I put vinyl on mine, held up until the day the body shop stabbed a key thru it to hook the battery back up.
