I have a 06 cobalt LTZ that needs a motor. My question is, is there a stock motor I can upgrade to that is compatible. Figured if I'm doing a motor job misewell upgrade to something with a bit more power.

Unless you plan on swapping the ECU and wiring harness there's nothing that's a straight swap with that motor. Nothing is preventing you from dropping forged bits into the old or new motor though.

So I put the new motor in. Drove it a few hundred miles and it ran flawless until I wen through the car was. Put gas in an 20 miles later it died while driving. Towed it home let it sit over night an started up but died 10min later. So I swapped the old motor crank sensor in an still won't start. Lookin at later tonight for it to cool down all the way but any ideas what else it could be?
