Alternator or computer problem?

I have a 2008 5 speed Chevy cobalt and its been acting up lately. When driving down the high way the battery light will come on and then the stereo will shut off and the gauges will go crazy after that the power steering code pops up and then we lose the power steering and then it will act like its going to die and sometimes it does. We have gotten Tue alternator rebuilt but we are still having these problems. We have gotten all of the recalls fixed on the car. We really need some help on what is wrong with it

My wifes 2010 Impala would loses gauges, air bag light, and some times not start about 3 years ago only when I was driving it. Eventually figured it out it only happened when someone was sitting in the front passenger seat. Found a TSB talking about it and got dealer to repair chaffed wires under passenger seat ($95). Few weeks ago co-worker go recall notice on his 2009 Impala for the same thing, but I haven't for my10.

So does it happen only if someone if someone is in that seat, if it does have them lift their butt to see if it clears.
