I just bought a 2006 cobalt ls coupe, it does not have power windows or locks. The fob has buttons for door lock/unlock, trunk release and remote start. The only button that works is the remote start, when I press door lock or unlock or trunk release the parking lights go on but the locks do not do anything. Should the doors or trunk work with the fob. There was no fuse in the passenger compartment fuse box for the door locks when I bought the car, I put in a 20 amp fuse and it still does not work. Thanks

Hmm, depends. I actually bought a $40 system off Amazon for my 2007 to convert my door locks to electric. Worked great for a couple years, but now only one door works anymore because the wiring they used on it was crap. I need to take off the door skins and run new wire. Anyway, take a door skin off and see if they mounted an actuator under the lock that attaches to the lock rod. If so, then it should work and you will have to do some more investigating. If you don't see anything like that, then they may have only installed it for the remote start.
