    The other possibility is a bad fuel tank pressure sensor. It's on the side of the EVAP canister.

    Unless you plan on swapping the ECU and wiring harness there's nothing that's a straight swap with that motor. Nothing is preventing you from dropping forged bits into the old or new motor though.

    Crate Engine depot has the full kit you'll need. On top of that you need motor oil. How many miles is the motor up to?

    I too changed a thermostat on one of the 2.2 motors and found it to be quite easy with that one. Two bolts and then it pulls up and away.

    Powersteering is a recall, get that checked out if you haven't already. As for traction control you might have a wheel speed sensor or wiring going out.

    If you hook up the old starter to the wires does the starter spin? It sounds like you might not have a cable hooked up all the way.

    Engine swap is only viable if you do the entire motor, transmission, wire loom, ECU, etc. Otherwise nothing lines up or works together. Dropping an SC on that motor is the easiest way to make more power.

    Needs a bit of work to make that happen, I believe the knuckles are different, you'll need to get the larger brake rotors, hoses are different. Check out ZZP, I believe they have a full kit for doing the swap from the LSJ car.

    There's a ton of lights on that switch. Easiest way to diag that is going to be to drive it in the rain and then start pulling things apart and checking circuits with a multimeter.

    Moisture in oil lines....that shouldn't make milky oil after a flush. Heck even a standard oil change would get rid of it. Sounds more like you have a coolant leak issue.

    The usual spots I see are less than 6" from connector ends. When are the misfire events happening? (load, cold start, etc.)

    Magnaflow is decent. Really gotta look at what you want. I suggest the largest longest resonator and a decent muffler with packing. Otherwise you're looking at a lot of rasp out of an NA motor.

    Welcome! Dropping the subframe is great fun /s I dropped the whole drivetrain to replace the motor in my SS last year. Engine hoist and lots of patience.

    The KR sensors are really touchy on these motors, but that shouldn't be the issue unless you're seeing massive knock.
