What the dealership will do:

-replace the power steering motor

When will the recall be released?
-recall is being released in phases(aka not all at once), dealerships will be able to check for the recall based on the release AKA JUST BC YOUR VIN FALL WITHIN THE BREAKPOINT DOESN'T MEAN THEY WILL SEE IT RIGHT AWAY...BEING RELEASED IN PHASES

Vin breakpoint:

2005 cobalt
57156009 - 57673463

2006 cobalt
67600001 - 67887446

2007 cobalt
77100001 - 77417714

2008 cobalt
87100001 - 87331547

2009 cobalt
97100001 - 97299845

2010 cobalt
a7100003 - a718115

--------------------------------
2007 g5
77100002 - 77417707

2008 g5
87100006 - 87351546

2009 g5
97100018 - 97299842

2010 g5
a7100001 - a7116703
--------------------------------

2005 pursuit
57157648 - 5767361(i forgot a digit somewhere in this one )

2006 pursuit
67600030 - 67887269

Part availability:
-pre shipment week of 3/15
-remanufacturing process being established an will improve supply after june 12th

Process:
-connect tech2, check for DTC's
-record present DTCs on order submission
-clear DTCs
-remove motor
-install new assist motor
-perform test drive

Now most of those affected by the recall should recieve a preannouce letter, telling you that your vehicle is affected, and that the recall is being released in phases...once your phase come, you will recieve the actual recall letter...meaning you can have it repaired, or submit for reimbusement(form included w/letter)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

well folks, thats pretty much it, tried to sum it up best i could w/out confusing some, didnt post too many of the details, but thats the gist of it...i can try and answer q's, but i dont guarantee it, all the info i have posted is as recent as this morning..

yeah i guess i should have added i got a mech. boost gauge already. Uego will take care of my wideband and A/F ratio thats two, and i do still need a 3 bar map sensor to view to stupid iat2s. so i guess ill need that interceptor...crap

anywho i shouldnt need to be worrying to much about my iat2s they will be cold enough with:

1. dual pass endplate-----------i have the intake manifold plus GM endplate, need to make it into a dual pass...
2. cobra heat exchanger (if possible the lsj one as well)------i have the cobra H/E, need stock LSJ unit
3. devils own meth kit------i have the entire kit except a container for the meth and brackets to install container
4. Aem cold air intake--------ive got it need to tap it for meth or get throttlebody spacer
5. option b- (primarily for the bleeding capabilities...)-------considering leaving out and or pieceing my own kit like stenguyen
6. only gonna run a stg 2 hub and 3.0 pulley--------got both installed on m62 right now
7. water wetter?------considering the coolant mixture 50/50 water/coolant (im in texas rarely freezes so ratio can change)
8. porting---m62, throttle body
