a silly question

yeah, it's kind of a dumb question, i know. but i've looked google up and down and i am still not able to find the answer.

what is sensor is on the stock intake?

i'm looking to make my own intake, but i need to know what sensor is already on there, so i can be sure to get the correct part that will fit that sensor.

that is what i thought. but a buddie of mine told me it could me a air temp sensor. but i didn't understand why that could be. autozone has these intake parts that will fit sensors. but on the back of the box, it doesn't list the cobalt. but it says the MAF will fit. it's a little confusing and misleading, but i'm going to see what happens.

The MAF has a temperature sensor in it as well.

i dont know if MAF sensors vary in design based on car make and model but it wouldnt surprise me if they did
