Which year models will interchange with the 2005 L61 2.2 liter engine?
Could someone please verify for me weather or not a 2005 Cobalt 2.2-liter L61 engine can be replaced with a 2003 Saturn Ion 2.2-liter LSJ engine? I think that I had found in the past that the only 2.2-liter engines that would work as a replacement in this year model was 2005 through 2007 only. I have tried to get help from my local GM dealership with no luck at all. I would like to know if I just need to sale this “Low Mileage Parts” engine that they said was a replacement before I spend to much money and time and it not work. Could someone please advise me of what is the correct thing to do before I head in the wrong direction please.
