Factory Stereo 2008 LT

We have a 2008 LT with the factory stereo/CD.

Recently my wife said when she drives the car the stereo will just power off and it then starts to display something about the auxiliary?

Since it has been very cold outside lately, I was just blaming this condition on the weather, but it is still continuing to happen.

I can't remember is she said she needs to reprogram the stations or not, but she said it is like the power is cycling on and off.

So, is there something to look for like a bad power supply wire or could the stereo just be going out?

You can try replugging the harnesses into the rear of the stereo and see if it continues. Radio presets should be remembered, the clock will reset if power is lost.
