So about a week ago my wife said her "check gas cap" light came on. She hadn't gotten gas in a while but tightened up anyways. The light never went out even after tightening. The next day she got in the car and it was still on except a couple miles down the road her CEL came on. She had the code read and it came back as the TPS sensor. Are these two related in anyway? I mean can the loose gas cap cause this? I took the Throttle body off, cleaned it and the connectors, reset the computer and all the lights went off. We dronve the car later that day and the check gas cap light came back on. She told me yesterday the CEL came back on also. Any ideas? Its an 06 cobalt LT
