Hi guys , posting for my friend. He has a 2007 cobalt with the lsj. Manual. Well anyways recently his car made a click noise and then wouldn’t start. We found that it has no compression on at least 1 or 2 cylinders.
Few questions, Is it possible to rebuild the engine with just a timing chain kit and valve kit ? What are the. Cheapest option to get to car running again? Has very low miles and was taken care of. He just had a new clutch and transmission put in and now the engine has no compression.
Also out of curiosity does the non supercharged engines fit in the car? I found a cobalt engine new in a crate for a good deal but it’s not the supercharged one I don’t think. What’s the difference between the engines ?
