1. That's awesome! Great work.
2. Realistically, how long do you plan on keeping the car? At 300,000 miles, it is well past its expiration date. I'd side with the garage in being hesitant to put much money and time into it.
I like it. I also like that the site isn't bogged down by tons of advertising like some other car forums. Hopefully the site can get some more traffic.
From an SEO perspective, I can tell you that quite a few forum platforms have tons of issues with duplicate content. I don't know if Xenforo...
I believe I have the same thing going on. Does it only do it when cold? My suspension makes a very crunch-like noise when it's cold out, but quiets down when the temps have risen outside or I've driven it a while.
I hate the auto dash lights in these things. Never ever have I seen a car so picky about when it turns them on. If you turn the headlights on yourself (override auto), then the dash lights should come on too, but noooo, we drivers aren't responsible enough to determine when the dash lights come...
I've used it on a previous car, a Ford Taurus, with no ill effects. That was added through a vacuum line though, not used for oil sludge.
I believe I've seen people on bobistheoilguy.com recommend doing a couple of real short oil change intervals with Pennzoil and a good oil filter (not the...
Hmm. Is there any particular reason for blending fuels like that?
The Taurus had an FFV with the same engine as the non-FFV. Iirc, the major differences were the fuel pump and some gaskets. Apparently the ethanol is hard on rubber or somesuch.
I'm honestly a bit surprised the Cobalt can't...
Yeah, dealership techs :emotions122:
I saw your fleet under your name on Ecomodder.com. :)
40 should be a good number. I like being able to check tire pressure right on the computer.
What do you mean by "way high ethanol blends?" Can we run E85?
I kind of like it, although I see what you're saying. It'd be interesting to see it with a new set of wheels, or even just the uncovered steelies.
Aside from the cheap window visors, that white sedan is gorgeous.
Seemed pretty good when I drove it home. The dealership had all the tires well above 50psi.
That said, I have absolutely no inclination to have that rough a ride. My tires will likely go no more than 40psi.
