I am looking to purchase a brand new 2010 Cobalt Coupe w/ auto trans, pwr windows, pwr locks etc. Are there any available in the Northeast? I am willing to travel.

My dealer found a few out there but far away. The other dealers do not want to participate in a "dealer trade".

check out some to some of your local dealer websites i found the car i wanted in less than a week . 2010 chevy cobalt, 5speed ,2 door ,no ac, manual everything. found it in Plymouth ma at tracy chevy. i know its not what your looking for exactly but the dealer will find one for you if you want its there job to do it

It's not really the Dealers job to do it, it's done more as a courtesy, because if the dealer doesnt have it and can't do a trade on it then they have to buy it and pay for transport which in turn eats away at the profit and could be worth more hassle for the dealership than its worth.
