Thanks everyone for the comments. Still not sure on what im gonna do. i looked at a ss camaro today. So im leaning towards getting a 2012 model. If anyone has any suggestions on doing anything to my engine on my cobalt for the time being other that air intake and exhaust would be nice. i want to paint it and put rims on it prolly lower it as well. but i dont want a nice looking car that cant out run anything if it needs to.

I think everything is based on it's foundation. I feel the base models aren't worth modding unless you are going to redo EVERY thing from the ground up. hubs, suspension, brakes, interior, body kit, internals and forced induction list goes on... even still the motors wont perform at the level of the LNFs and LSJs if you like the feel of a cobalt upgrade to a SS model wither it be the sc or tc they both have put down impressive numbers well over the 300hp mark I believe even into the 400s.

I would have gotten the camaro ss back in 2009 but I didn't want to wait for my name to come up on the list... and I was 21 at the time so don't judge a book by it's cover. :hahano:

dude just buy a new car, it's gonna be less hassle. or just buy accompanying parts to FI and rebuild the internals

I agree with you. I think to get rid off some risks. The best decision is to buy new one. :D
