I have a 2005 Cobalt. I stopped the car came 5 minutes later and the starter would not start. Checked the battery and it had only 10 volts. Changed battery out, now the car will not run. You can pour gas in the throttle body and crank it up and it will idle then die. Changed fuel pump and filter but still will not start and run. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the fuel pump priming? Its a high pitched whine when you click the ignition over to ON.

Yes, I have checked the fuses. I have no fuel pressure. Pump never makes a noise. When checking relay I have 12v on 86 but not on 85. Shouldn't it have 12v on both of them. How can you jumper the relay to get the pump to come on?

Ok, here is what I know after a Sunday evening of testing. When I jump 87 to 30 of fuel pump relay the pump runs. So I thought it was just the relay. Changed out with new relay still will not run. So now I am thinking that it must be a fuss link somewhere between PCM and the fuel pump or maybe a bad PCM. What do you guys think?

I am havingthe same issue

I have read that many people have had this issue. I am niot getting power to my fuel pump. When I jump the relay under the hood the fuel pump runs and I can start and drive the car, but it just cranks otherwise. I replace the relay that wasnt it, I tried another ground, that wasnt it. I tried leaving the battery off and resetting the code. Has anyone figured out how to fix this yet?

youd have to get a scanner on it to see if theres any stored and on demand history codes that would help
