2009 Chevrolet Cobalt 4-Door

Hello Im new to this site. I want to buy a 2009 chevy cobalt 4-door that will be for my mother-in-law. I don't know what model cobalt it is. It looks clean it has 63k miles, it has power windows etc. I will repost more details about the car in a bit. I dont know anything about these cars, if anyone can tell me how reliable they are.

well mines a 05 4 door LS 175k . wife has a 06 2 door LT 136k . mines has been to 110 a few times and i dont drive that easy with it . wifes car gets treated like gold .

05, wheel bearing (did last weekend ), brakes , tires ( sticky brake pedal ) ticks when needs oil change ... i will drop a new motor if that becomes a problem

06 , fuel sending unit , brake , tires ( clean throttle body once a year gets gummed up for some reason )

When I was looking into my Cobalt, I fouund a website that listed the recalls for them. The only thing that comes to mind now was an issue with steering columns. The one you are looking into was later into the life of its production run. Could be a good thing.

As with many cars, many cars are only as reliable as the owners that possess them. Meaning how well the car is cared for. Many Cobalts run up high mileage if well cared for.

Any CarFax data available? History of oil changes? Accidents?
