Hello again

I have a few issues...again

1. I noticed my coolant temp went up to 220 the other day...I let is cool down and then refilled it with a 50/50 blend....today it started running warmer....I took it home and let it run for about 5 minutes and the temp hit 230

Some board say up to 230 is normal...this car almost always runs around 192-196....any ideas if it is a hose or radiator leaking? 3rd question also involves this issue

2. Also, the car started having a weird fishy smell last week in the vents. Thought maybe the AC drain was clogged but it wasn't...smell happens with AC or Heat on

3. I also noticed on the firewall on the passengers side that there seems to be a drain....it has been leaking the "fishy smell" and also has a reddish pink color too it...the coolant is also reddish...could this be where my coolant is going to?

Sorry to ramble...just seems to be one thing after another anymore

Thanks
Travis

No, just outside...also noticed today that the fan runs all the time...is that normal?

Most HVAC systems have a drain for the condensation from when the a/c is running. IF the heater core leaks, like yours may be doing, coolant will find its way out that way. Or into the pass. compartment/carpet.

If you have that "sweet" smell and a misty windshield, it's a broken heater core.

When a cooling system won't pressure and runs hotter, you have a leak. Check for bubbles in the rad if you start it up cold and let it run with the rad. cap off.

Otherwise, if coolant is leaking onto the ground that's better than when the motor is mysteriously consuming it. That could mean a blown headgasket, cracked block or head.
