picking wheels for my cobalt!

soooooo, i'd like to get opinions & votes for new wheels for my cobalt!

its a 09 base ls imperial blue like in the pic (not mine but just to give you an idea lol):

oh, and if anyone haz some size recommendations too... it's stock height with sock steel 15*6s just like the pic in the op... but methinks 16" would do me fine for now... still thinkin lol

do you think that 17" rims would look fine in a sedan at stock height? i think i'd like it about an inch lower lol! thoughts?

17 x 9 is sick on these cars. Especially for you blue. Some varrstoen or anything really. Your lug pattern allows it. Lowered On wide rims is SEXY!!!!

ok i think i'm set on 17" rims. what tire size should i go with then? 225/45r17???

my thinking is that the stocker 195/60s or 65s are not terribly capable of braking. soooo 225/45/17 would give me the same overall diameter/ride height AND 30 more millimeters across of surface.

i s'pose i figure any wider than 225 would just reduce mileage & effort steering since i still have stock brakes?

225 40 18 are stock LNF size, plenty of braking power. Any larger and you have to be careful about your offset to keep from rubbing.
