I've a 2010 LT. I recently hit
100k miles. My kind husband replaced
the spark plugs for me. :)

A chevy tech at an auto parts store told
me i also need to do a fuel cleanse. He
recommends seafoam, but only via the intake.

Is this really necessary or even advised, ever?

Thank you.

Seafoam isn't a fuel cleanse when used through the intake. It's mostly snake oil IMO.

Personally I use the Chevron Techron concentrate for fuel system cleaning.

Thank you. Is this the same thing: Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus, 10 oz - Walmart.com

If I add one 10 oz bottle to a nearly empty gas tank, just prior to my next oil change...does that sound good? should i fill my gas tank after adding it, and before
getting the oil change?

Also, is it just as simple as adding it to the tank or do i need to do any other steps
like throttling it so smoke comes out of my car/revving it to a specific rpm etc (like seafoarm)

also, is 100k a good time for this? and how often do you recommend? the new spark plugs really made a diff. in my uphill acceleration btw.

That's the stuff. Just add it to the tank when near empty then fill up with fuel and drive like normal. It'll clean up your injectors and help out your fuel system seals.

I've done 2 or 3 bottles and I'm at 116k now.
