Hello. Thanks for having me. I have an 09 Cobalt LT with 135k. Excellent inside and out, except the speedometer doesnt work, theres a power steering light on the dash and the check engine light is on, and the cruise control doesnt work. The VSS is brand new, grounded the tcm, cleaned and checked connections etc and still no changes. Power steering seems fine, other guages work, there is a harder than normal shifting it seems, going from 2nd to 3rd, otherwise it drives like a brand new car. Any ideas?
If the TCM is bad or going bad, it wouldnt go into gear right? Recently prior to my buying the car, the rear abs sensor and wheel bearing were changed, and a new battery installed. could this have caused the speedometer issue? Thanks everyone.
