I don't really know if it will help to ask here, but does anyone know any good tuners in this "area"... right now it seems like Area47 might be the best option, but I think he is in St. Louis... tuning is something I don't know shit about... I don't mind driving up to around 6 hours but I don't want something like 12 hours away or anything....

yeah, I don't want a canned tune... I want a legit tune.... i've got a canned tune now

I got to get tires before I worry about anything, lol... when I first got the tune, i'd light them up at about 35-40ish.... now even at 50 they're going up, lol... of course, a lot of that has to do with this Bama humidity in August, not exactly ideal conditions for getting rubber to stick anyway.... but tires are on the list along with a downpipe, catback, upper charge piping, AEM silicone elbow, and a new tune, lol

good thing I'm getting back a good tax return, lol... i'll probably buy it all this fall though... then replace those funds with the tax return... I have a hard time spending money, i can never pull the damn trigger on anything, even with the money ready to go, lol... it took me 6 months to buy the car after saying I was going to check into one that week

He paid roughly $450 for his tune and unlimited dyno time. The tune is pretty much right on for what he has. 266 whp for full bolt on's, cooling mods, 2.75, and 60's. His car is pretty stout. I think he has bigger plans for it in the near future. Anyways...

Any h1n1 virus outbreaks up there? It's exploding down here in Mobile and on the Miss. coast.

not here....

yet

and I may check into Trifecta, I thought there GTtuner was a "canned" tune, apparently.....its not

and there is a guy with a catless d.p., the airbox mod(which I have), a Short throw shifter and a Trifecta tune that went 12.6s....that is awesome(goes by cmiller8006 on .net).... I mean with a larger I.C. and charge piping, well, that should be even faster... shit ZZP broke 11s with bolt-ons and a ported head(on their tune though and of course DRs)

and that is on the stock turbo, they are going to go back in better conditions and try to better their time(right nows a 11.995, lol) and then ditch the ko4

the big issue right now is fueling, and ZZP does have a few "prototype" parts for fuel delivery on their car, Matt hasn't detailed what all that consists of, but he did say not much

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kHWvKofkxk

oh yeah, they also have converted the car to LSJ brakes, so it'd fit 15" wheels, to allow for better DRs than the 18s will allow for

but for now i'm just going to do bolt-ons and a better tune...then let the "trial and error" storm that vendors/builders will go through in the next year in swapping turbos and getting the fueling worked out... I would LIKE to be one of the 1st with a 400whp LNF, but at the same time.. I don't want to be the damn guinea pig, lol... I'll let someone with more money than me go through a couple of engines in trial and error
