Have you changed the fuel filter or checked on the fuel pump?
Who replace the timing belt? Didn't they check the noise before they gave it back to you or did you change it yourself?
The look great on the cobalt. Almost like they are stock.
You check any other fuses besides the one you pulled?
Check the drain as stated in the other thread you replied to. Its within the a-pillar. Here is a image of what/where your A-pillar is located....
A-pillar is the front pillar on your car that attaches your roof to your car. Here is a image showing what an a-pillar is..
I wouldn't play with the brakes to much if you are not sure how to fix them. Go to a mechanic, it may cost some money, but I think safety is more...

Check fuses? This seems odd really. More like a computer/PCM issue. What year is it?
Wire lose somewhere and you 2 may have moved them enough to connect again?
