Replacing ball joints?

I think i have a bad ball joint on my river side. Its an 06 LT. Do i have to replace the whole lower arm or can the joint be done itself?

Looking to do some mods....

I Just started working on my '06 Cobalt LT Automatic and am wanting to do some engine mods.... I just tinted the windows and put some Angel Eye Halo projector headlights in. It has a Flowmaster muffler on it as well. Any suggestions on where to start with beefing up the motor? Really want to...
