Control arm, struts and fuel leaks...and a terrible dealership

Check to make sure the metal backing plate / splash shield is not contacting the inner side of the brake rotor. It is very easy to deform them during a repair such as what you did, they are easy to bend back into position.

Looking at a 2007 LT...what do I need to know?

In my experience the 2.2 liter engines have good longevity The 2.4 liter engines tend to have timing chain issues.

Looking for how to replace rear brake shoe on a 2010 Cobalt LT

Here are repair instructions, sorry no video. This style rear brake setup is a very similar to the style found on most older drum brake vehicles. In my opinion much easier to work on than those with the horseshoe style spring on the rear brakes.

    Fuel problem

Last year my 2007 G5 leaked fuel in the same spot. The metal fuel line rusted out where it passes thru the plastic clip. To fix it, the plastic clip was removed, the fuel line was trimmed to where it was solid and a piece of high pressure rubber hose rated for gasoline/fuel was added, the rubber...

    Tire Learn Part II

The attached document is a bit confusing but thought I would include it. Here is what you need to do if you do not have a TPM learn tool. Put the vehicle into learn mode, then starting with the LF tire, let air out of the tire until the horn sounds (about 5psi worth), then move to the RF tire...

2005 Cobalt LS Stuck Rack&Pinion(Trouble with Removal)

The steering shaft should slide to expand and contract so it's not one fixed length.

2005 Cobalt LS Stuck Rack&Pinion(Trouble with Removal)

Thanks, you don't have to follow what they say to the letter, but at least you have a rough outline to follow, kind of like selective hearing when people tell you stuff.

    Aftermarket radio, Ign. switched power?

Here's what I could find on what you asked for fuse #8 (ignition switched, 2 amp). Looks like you want the red/white wire that is in cavity 2 on a 6 position connector coming of the ignition switch. Please refer to the attached schematics.

    07 cobalt

I have had two G5's with sunroofs. Both have had the sunroof drain tubes come loose from the sunroof. Remove the trim needed to drop the headliner down a bit in that area, reach in and reattach the hose. For added assurance that the tube stays in place I add a hose clamp. Sun roof drains are...

Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor Problem Resolved

The battery in TPMS die and that what fails the sensor. If the battery is going dead in one sensor, the rest of the sensors probably have dying batteries too. I find it best to bite the bullet and replace them all at the same time. On a side note, I played the replace the one TPMS sensor at a...

    Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor

The thing that usually fails a TPMS sensor is the internal battery. They only have a service life of a few years if you drive the vehicle on a regular basis. The batteries are non serviceable.

    Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor

If you replace and TPMS sensor you will need to relearn it to the vehicle. It can be done without any special tools by lowering the tire pressure. The following is the service procedure to do so. Alternate Keyless Entry Transmitter or DIC Learn Enable Method Ignition ON, initiate the TPM Learn...

    Wiring

I'm sorry, I assumed you were wiring a ECM / PCM connector. Totally missed you were wiring a stereo. Its your vehicle and you can wire it however you wish. If you do direct wire it, be sure the power wires are fused near where you tap into the power source.

    Wiring

When repinning a connector, it is best to relocate 1 wire at a time to avoid putting the wrong wire in the wrong location on the connector. That being said, I assume you mislocated a wire or wires. If it were me trying to sort this mess out, I would get a high impedence multimeter and do a...
