2008 Chevy Cobalt 2.2 ECOTEC ICM?

Car recently started flashing check engine light occasionally while driving. Car loses power and hesitates on acceleration for a moment then smooths out. Scanner says pending code P0300 which is the multiple misfire. Did alot of reading and it sounds like the ICM is most likely the problem. I checked the plugs look good and the compression is excellent in all cylinders. One problem...where is the ICM? I cant find it! Every picture I find shows it on the valve cover. Its not there. Anyone know where it is or if there might be another problem causing this? Any help is appreciated

Yeah this engine has the plug towers. The top of the tower is a coil then? Where is the ignition control module?
